I’ve got my new photo book printed, and it came out really well. Everything came out great. Going to try another publishing site next time, just to see if the grass is any greener. All in all, it was quite the success (and my mom didn’t hate it for a mother’s day present… big plus).
Other than that, its a slow start to the work week. Looking forward to planning vacations and doing fun stuff. Hopefully, I’ll get some places this summer and take some more quality photographs. Planning on taking a few weekend trips in the meantime as well.
If you’re looking for me on Facebook, please just text me or something. I check FB about 2-3 times a week now, most of my social network time is spent on Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr. I’ll keep posting this content to FB for sometime, but just because I don’t need to do anything to do so.
Anyway, have a great week! Might throw together a sports perspective or two later. Keep an eye out.
Hello everyone, writing a super quick blog post before I start working out today.
Getting my first photography book printed this week. Real excited about that, I hope it comes out as good as the design was. We will see in the next few days. If its really high quality, I may sell some in the future. This first one is coffee table sized, so I’m hoping the book has nice quality photo paper and comes out well. Photographs in the book are taken by myself, Joe Marone (some JH pics), and Julia Carr. The design came out amazing, so I’m hoping the finished product looks just as good when its delivered this week.
In other news, I’m enjoying my new job at CHOP. It feels rewarding to work in an organization that helps sick children, and I really enjoy whenever I get to take a trip over to the hospital (next trip is tomorrow). There’s a lot of interesting work coming up in the future, so I can’t wait to get started on the new projects.
Beyond that, I’m trying to lose weight and get in better shape. Without going into details, I’ve got to make some changes if I want to live a long life and be there for my girlfriend. And that starts now (or more accurately.. two months ago).
This summer, I’m looking at booking a trip to Boston, MA, as well as Niagara Falls. It will be a bunch of driving for Julia and I, but we’ll iron out the details assuming my vacation request gets approved from work. Then, its all about planning trips for the fall and winter.
I recently made a big payment toward my student loans, so hopefully that makes a dent in what I still owe. Let’s just say I took my entire tax refund and some of my savings and tried to make an imprint!
So, to conclude this very quick paced writing session, I am off to start running on the treadmill today. Goal for today, 4+ miles. Let’s get at it.
Love you all, Mike
